Nepali doctor rejects proposal to become minister while keeping patients

Nepal’s renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit has made it clear that he does not want to become a minister without leaving his patients. On Tuesday morning, Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki met him at the Tilganga Eye Institute in Kathmandu.

This time, the government led by her is preparing to form a full-fledged cabinet of 11 members. As part of that process, he is meeting with experts.
